Other Job-related duties and special projects as assigned.\nEducation, Training and Experience Requirements\nMinimum 5 years of experience working in Health, Safety and/or Environmental in a manufacturing setting.\nBachelor’s degree in EHS, Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field.\nExperience in conducting EHS related training.\nUnderstanding of machine guarding requirements and applications.\nExperience with chemical management and hazardous waste programs and requirements.\nExperience with storm water management and compliance\nTechnologically savvy with experience in MS Office products and Windows-based computer applications.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements\nThorough knowledge of applicable EHS standards and regulations (CAL/OSHA, OSHA, EPA, DOT).\nAbility to influence and drive positive change.\nStrong written and verbal presentation skills.\nClearly communicate sensitive matters with management and maintain confidentiality.\nStrong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple projects.\nAbility to research and analyze information and draw valid conclusions and recommendations.\nDesire to continually learn and expand knowledge base.\nAbility to build professional relationships based on trust and mutual respect at every level of the organization.\nProfessional, enthusiastic and friendly demeanor.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAssociated Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP).\nExperience within the steel industry.\nSupervisory Responsibility\nPotential supervisory responsibility.\nAdditional\nMust be able to work outside normal business hours/days as needed.\nMust be able to occasionally lift and or move objects up to 50 lbs.\nMust be able to work in both hot and cold atmosphere depending on weather conditions.\nMust be able to travel and work at an outside location.\nSalary Range: $99,000 - $148,000 annually\nFinal compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications.\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
