As a Software Systems Integrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) and other stakeholders by contributing to Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) projects. These programs are vital in providing US warfighters with the intelligence they need to make informed decisions in the field.\nPRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nCollaborates with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define middleware specifications\nDesigns, develops, tests, and deploys middleware using Python and/or Java\nIntegrates middleware with the GCCS-J and TAK systems\nTroubleshoots and debugs issues with existing middleware\nOptimizes middleware performance and ensure scalability\nStays updated with the latest platform updates and middleware development best practices\nProvides leadership and guidance to the development team, ensuring efficient task management and progress tracking\nConducts thorough code reviews and implement quality assurance practices\nDevelops and implement networking solutions that enhance system performance and reliability\nIdentifies, analyzes, and resolves complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner\nMaintains comprehensive documentation of the development process and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders\nRequirements:\nMINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience, at least two years of relevant experience\nMust possess a DoD 8570 approved security certification (CISSP, Security+, GSEC) OR the ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of employment\nExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely\nStrong teamwork and multitasking capabilities, able to handle diverse tasks with simultaneous or near simultaneous deadlines\nDemonstrated organizational skills, reliability, and conscientiousness in managing resources and schedules to meet project deadlines\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows Operating System\nEffective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders\nUnderstanding of RESTful API design and development\nProven experience as a Python developer\nStrong understanding of object-oriented programming principles\nExperience with database systems, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL\nKnowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)\nExcellent problem-solving and debugging skills\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment\nProficiency in Java and Python with extensive experience in developing robust and efficient applications\nProven leadership experience or being a senior member of a development team\nDetail-oriented with the ability to break down complex issues into smaller tasks and delegate effectively\nStrong understanding of networking principles and protocols\nDemonstrated ability to deliver bug-free code and test large-scale development efforts\nExperience with containerization technologies such as Podman, Docker, etc.\nDESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:\nExperience with mobile app development for Android or Windows platforms\nFamiliarity with TAK (Tactical Assault Kit) and its associated platforms (ATAK or WinTak)\nKnowledge of geospatial data and mapping technologies (e.g., ArcGIS, GeoJSON)\nFamiliarity with other programming languages such as C++, or C#\nProficiency in Python and related frameworks/libraries (such as Django or Flask)\nExperience in integrating various systems and ensuring seamless operation\nOpenness to learning new technologies and adapting to new tools as needed\nSRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL\nABOUT US\nScientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions.
