For more information, please visit www.orchid-ortho.com.\nSHIFT\nORE - Shift 3 ($.85) (United States of America - Oregon)\nA BRIEF OVERVIEW\nThe Operations Technician II, Metalworking performs operations required to operate and maintain forges, foundries, and furnaces for producing parts and products. They are also cross-trained on and can perform numerous operations within forging without supervision. The Operations Tech, Foundry Operator, performs tasks to operate computer-controlled high temperature vacuum furnaces to ensure that parts meet customer specifications, as well as tasks related to receiving product to ensure that manufactured product is processed into the designated location in accordance with established policies, practices and procedures\n\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\nCompletes all required training.\nUse hand truck, pallet jack, carts and tables to safely transport product.\nMaintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and organized condition.\nDetect report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.\nFollow designated safety rules and regulations.\nSupport Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives.\nDimensionally inspect work, using appropriate tools including, but not limited to; calipers, pin gauges, measuring instruments and surface plates, etc. as required.\nPerform weekly housekeeping per 5S schedule.\nDetect report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.\nFollow work orders to perform operations on various parts and products\nPerform different types of operations based on manufacturing needs\nAssist in training of personnel as directed by the department Supervisor or Lead.\nReinforces safety expectations. Ensures safety operating practices are demonstrated.
