This role involves assisting with hygiene procedures, preparing patients for treatment, maintaining clinical equipment, and reinforcing oral health education.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and materials are ready for proceduresAssist the dental hygienist during cleanings, scaling, and preventive care treatmentsSet up and break down operatories following infection control protocolsRecord patient vital signs and update medical histories as neededSterilize and organize dental instruments according to established standardsEscort patients and prepare them for treatment to maintain smooth workflowProvide oral hygiene instructions and post-treatment care guidanceMaintain accurate patient records and assist with chartingMonitor inventory and restock hygiene supplies as neededEnsure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environmentSkills & ExperienceRequired:Experience in a dental setting, preferably supporting a hygienist or dentistKnowledge of basic dental hygiene procedures and infection control practicesPreferred:Familiarity with dental software systemsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsEducationRequired:High school diploma or equivalentORMinimum one (1) year of experience in dental assisting or hygiene supportPreferred:Completion of a dental assisting or hygiene support programCertifications & LicensureRequired:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (if required by facility)1-2 years of relevant experiencePreferred:Dental Assistant Certification or related clinical support certificationFor more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
