The position encompasses several areas of Engineering disciplines, not limited to Safety, Process, Reliability, Quality and Project Engineering for their respective department. The Engineer will also be responsible Capital Execution which includes developing project cost estimates, providing project justification, contract / vendor management, and project cost accounting. The Engineer will also be a Single Point Accountable person for at least 1 Safety Protocol.\n\nJob Responsibilities and Duties:\nDay-to-day technical advice, problem solving and support to operations and maintenance by applying engineering principles, tools and skills to solve problems to root cause;\nEnsuring immediate equipment functionality and supporting the implementation of long term improvement strategies;\nReviewing or participating in existing equipment modifications or new equipment installations (capex) and ensuring compliance with appropriate engineering standards;\nDeveloping and implementing engineering solutions to eliminate repetitive equipment failures;\nFacilitating the improvement of equipment reliability through reducing failures and turnaround times for planned and unplanned events;\nLeading/Facilitating risk assessment and value analysis to make accurate engineering decisions for repair/replace/redesign;\nIdentifying and/or implementing new ideas and cost reduction opportunities;\nManaging contractor activities to support the implementation of critical equipment repairs or modifications;\nConveying technical ideas and concepts to support plant objectives and goals;\nCreating, maintaining, and updating equipment files, programs and drawings;\nOverseeing key processes involving extrusion of aluminum\nWork with Die Suppliers on cost, inventory, and design.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering or a Metallurgical Science from an accredited institution preferred\nAbility to work in a manufacturing environment and perform the tasks as listed above\nEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
