At FSB, engineers work shoulder to shoulder with architects, interior designers, and technical experts to shape solutions that are both innovative and buildable.\n\nIf you’re passionate about engineering that serves people and community — and you’re ready to grow with a team that values both purpose and performance — we invite you to apply.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDesign and document electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage for aviation, education, civic, tribal, commercial, and federal facilities.\n\nProduce one-line diagrams, panel schedules, lighting layouts, specifications, and reports.\n\nPerform electrical calculations including load analysis, short-circuit studies, arc flash, and voltage drop.\n\nApply electrical codes, NEC, NFPA, and industry standards to ensure compliant, functional solutions.\n\nParticipate in client meetings, design reviews, and team coordination efforts.\n\nCollaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal teams to deliver integrated outcomes.\n\nSupport QA/QC efforts and construction administration activities, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and site visits.\n\nLead project scopes, oversee deliverables, and mentor junior staff (mid‑ and senior-level roles).\n\nSoft Skills\n\nStrong communication and collaboration skills across disciplines and with clients.\n\nCritical thinking and creativity in solving complex design challenges.\n\nTime management and adaptability in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.\n\nMentorship mindset, with a willingness to guide and support junior team members.\n\nClear, professional writing and verbal communication skills.\n\nInitiative in identifying solutions and improving workflow efficiencies.\n\nQualifications\n\nMid-Level: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, FE exam passed and actively pursuing PE licensure, 5+ years of progressive experience, demonstrated ability to lead design efforts and coordinate small to mid-scale projects.\n\nSenior Engineer: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, active PE license, 10+ years of progressive experience leading electrical design.\n\nProficiency in Revit; knowledge of other electrical analysis software is a plus.\n\nStrong understanding of building systems, documentation standards, and interdisciplinary coordination.\n\nExperience in sectors such as aviation, civic, commercial, tribal, mission critical, or federal work is highly valued.\n\nAt FSB Architects + Engineers , we believe great design comes from great teams.
