{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"e72a0ecf71fb8853302fed1b","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e72a0ecf71fb8853302fed1b","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e72a0ecf71fb8853302fed1b","title":"Quality Tech - 3rd Shift","description":"Essential Job Functions\r\nAdhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas.\r\nResponsible to adhere to food quality and food safety as per the standard(s) provided by corporate, customer, and/or governing bodies (e.g., SQF).\r\nEnsure all products conform to the customer specifications as outlined in SAP system.\r\nPerform analysis on raw materials, finished batches, treated water and/or any other programmed outlines by the department.\r\nConduct chemical and physical analysis on raw and intermediate processing materials including packaging materials and determine status of materials as acceptable or unacceptable.\r\nEvaluate finished products against current standards by performing audits to monitor all aspects of finished product and packaging integrity.\r\nCheck process control parameters to assure proper equipment application and operation is being maintained by performing secure seal, closure torque, can seam checks, and/or any other requirements required by the customer or the company.\r\nStop any production which may be questionable in terms of Food Safety and immediately alert a member of the management team.\r\nMaintain accurate, legible records of all tests and retests performed. Complete all other required reports (work orders, action reports, etc.) in a timely manner.\r\nPerform analytical tests required to qualify ingredient batches for production.\r\nPerform production line checks at specified intervals.\r\nEnsure accurate test results by maintaining proper operation and calibration of laboratory equipment.\r\nMaintain laboratory cleanliness at all times.\r\nReport all out of specification results to designated leadership.\r\nComplete special projects and other reasonable duties as assigned by leadership.\r\nRequired Skills\r\nWorking knowledge of Excel, Word, and SAP preferred.\r\nExposure to using measurement tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM machines) preferred.\r\nOrganized and detail oriented, adaptable to change.\r\nHigh level of precision and accuracy in inspection and testing processes.\r\nFamiliarity with SQF, SAP, Six Sigma, GMP, and other relevant standards and regulations.\r\nUnderstanding of Food Safety Requirements.\r\nAble to read and understand metric system.\r\nFood or beverage laboratory experience preferred.\r\nCompetencies\r\nTechnical: Skilled in maintaining accurate and detailed records of inspections and tests.\r\nIntegrity: Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards in all quality assurance activities.\r\nAdaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing production environments and requirements.\r\nCommunication: Clear and concise communication with production staff and management.\r\nEducation and Experience\r\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\r\n1–3 years of experience in Quality within a manufacturing environment preferred.\r\nIn plants co-packaging alcoholic beverages, must be at least 21 years old.\r\nWorking Conditions\r\nWork schedule may include weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings, and overnight. Overtime scheduled as needed.\r\nEnvironment: fast-paced production plant with numerous moving parts. Hearing protection required; temperature can be high or low; laboratory is temperature controlled.\r\nTravel Requirements\r\n0% travel anticipated.\r\nPhysical Requirements\r\nStand or sit: rare to frequent.\r\nStoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: rarely to occasionally.\r\nLifting up to 50 lbs.
