The Baseball Coordinator will need to build relationships with players, parents, and coaches while making sure that the instructional aspects of the i9 Sports Experience are delivered. Observing, assessing, and assisting our coaches is paramount. The position entails hands-on involvement with practices and games among all age groups and skill levels.ResponsibilitiesEmpower volunteer coaches to lead practice sessions focusing on fundamentals, skill development, and funUnderstand & enforce the i9 Sports rules books ensuring a fun learning and safe environment for all playersTeach & demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship valuesSet up and break down game/practice field equipmentKeep time and score during the game; manage an age-appropriate level of instruction and competitionConsistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skillsAssist volunteer coaches during practice time with drills and be able to answer questions they may haveSupervise the overall operation of designated sports on game dayQualifications/RequirementsExcellent communication skillsReliable Transportation to and from the venue workplaceAt least 2 Years of sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experienceHighly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problemsAwareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of playersPositive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationshipsAbility to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, ~7 weeks)Must have a smartphone with internet capabilityMust be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check (required)
