If you have a passion for pediatric speech development, adult neurogenic disorders, or geriatric cognitive rehabilitation, you'll find a place here that respects your expertise and nurtures your aspirations.DescriptionConduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through a blend of standardized assessments and observational analysis.Create customized treatment strategies addressing both immediate and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.Render personalized speech therapies targeting communication, language proficiency, fluency, vocal expression, and swallowing issues.Work alongside a multidisciplinary team that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and family members to craft coordinated approaches to patient care.Provide educational support to patients and their families to enhance progress beyond sessions.Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations, assuring seamless care continuity throughout recovery.Keep thorough and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and company regulations.Engage in ongoing professional development through education and collaborative exchange with peers.EducationMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA. CertificationsState licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within a month of hiring. SkillsExpertise in evidence-based treatment techniques suitable for various ages, with a firm grasp of speech, language, and swallowing disorders both developmental and acquired.Exceptional interpersonal skills for communicating effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.Adept at modifying therapy practices to cater to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving acumen.Comfortable navigating electronic health records and documentation requirements.
