Technical Sales Representative

Technical Sales RepresentativeROLE OVERVIEWThis is the company's first dedicated sales hire. The role is responsible for building a repeatable pipeline, driving new RFQs, reactivating dormant accounts, and creating structure around how opportunities enter the shop. This is a hands-on, technical selling role working directly with ownership and engineering. Ongoing Marketing support is in place to support sales by providing visibility, reach, and lead generation. REPORTING: Reports to Owner / CEO LOCATION: Hybrid (1 day a week in-office in Broomfield, CO) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:New Business Development • Identify and pursue OEMs, machine builders, and manufacturers with fabrication and stamping needs • Build and manage a targeted outbound cadence (email, phone, plant visits, trade groups) • Run discovery calls and gather technical inputs for RFQs • Re-engage dormant and former customers • Involvement in and networking at industry trade groups and events Pipeline & RFQ Management • Own the front end of the sales process • Submit complete RFQ packages to engineering and quoting • Track opportunity status and customer communication • Maintain accurate CRM data Customer Engagement • Conduct on-site visits and shop tours • Support technical discussions with ownership, engineering, operations and procurement. • Strengthen relationships with repeat customers o Strong relationship building capacity needed. Reporting & Process:• Weekly pipeline reporting • Track RFQs, pipeline value, win rate, and new accounts • Help refine the sales process as the function scales QUALIFICATIONS:• Manufacturing sales experience (Tool & Die, machining, sheet metal fabrication, automation, molding, or similar) • Strong technical aptitude and comfort with engineering discussions • Comfortable with cold outreach and plant walk-ins • Organized and able to manage multiple active opportunities • Self-directed and process oriented SUCCESS METRICS:• Consistent RFQ flow • Monthly new account creation • Increased pipeline visibility • Improved win rate through better RFQ intake • Reduced owner dependency in early sales stages • Increased revenue from existing accounts All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran's status.
