Now we need to add a Bridge Engineer to help us keep building.\n\nWorking with our Michigan Transportation team , you will support bridge design, analysis, plan preparation, inspections, scoping, load rating, and related consulting engineering services for MDOT and local municipality projects.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n\nWork with experienced professional engineers on bridge design, analysis, calculations, and plan preparation.\n\nSupport occasional fieldwork related to bridge safety inspections, bridge project scoping, and bridge load rating.\n\nAssist in developing project budgets, schedules, reports, and technical documentation.\n\nApply civil engineering principles and specialized design software to support high-quality transportation projects.\n\nCollaborate with Fishbeck technical staff across disciplines to deliver bridge design and consulting engineering services, primarily for MDOT and local municipalities.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.\n\n0–4+ years of related bridge engineering experience desired.\n\nEngineer-in-Training certification desired; Professional Engineer license is a plus.\n\nInternship or bridge design experience with working knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications is a plus.\n\nPreferred knowledge of MDOT bridge standards and design manuals.\n\nPreferred knowledge of Bentley OpenRoads Designer or MicroStation software.\n\nKnowledge of design software such as LEAP Bridge Concrete and Steel Design, MDX Steel Design,or AASHTOWare-BrR\n\nExcellent computer skills and verbal communication skills.\n\nSelf-motivated, quality-focused, collaborative, and capable of planning work effectively in a project team environment.\n\nWhat We Offer\nOur staff members enjoy a comprehensive compensation package that includes:\n\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\n\nWellness reimbursement and activities\n\nReimbursement and support for tuition, continuing education, and professional/personal development\n\nVacation and sick time, volunteer PTO, parental leave, and paid holidays\n\nOpportunities for hybrid and flexible schedules\n\n401(k), profit sharing, and stock ownership opportunities (employee ownership)\n\nAnd more!\n\nWe are an equal-opportunity employer that is committed to diversity.
