More than a membership, the Houses provide inclusive spaces to dine, work, and discover through daily programming, unique amenities, and connection opportunities with other members.\n\nJob Summary: The event coordinator is a proven leader among their peers. Someone who has the awareness and conviction to guide the service team in seamlessly executing private and programming events, from setup to reset. They might do this from behind the bar, on the floor, or as a supervisory capacity as needed depending on the complexity of the event.\nCore Competencies:\nLeadership, consistency, organization, communication, hospitality\nResponsibilities\nService and Employee Relations\n\nEnsure smooth execution of all programming and private events, adhering to guidelines set by BEO and ROS documents, with the support of the club manager.\nServe as the day-of point of contact for all event clients and coordinate a POC during any times of planned absence\nAct as a liaison between hourly staff and management team, offering ideas to improve working conditions for employees.\nCommunicates to dining room staff, kitchen staff, and club managers about event details.\nCheck-out service team's side work and assign / inspect weekly duties.\nAct as a point person for new employee training - prioritizing consistency with the Service Training Manual/Program.\nContinue to improve your command of wine, beer, and cocktail knowledge.\nSet a strong example for current and future staff, modeling adherence to Common House policies and demonstrating our culture of hospitality. Correct staff behaviors if the situation calls for it.\nBe empowered to solve issues in the absence of a manager.\nGeneral & Administrative\nAttends BEO Meetings.\nCloses out event consumption checks and emails to Club Manager and Event Director.\nOperating the club in full compliance with ABC regulations.\nOperate the bar program in full compliance with VDH regulations.\nAdhere to all employee policies outlined in the CH Employee Handbook\nMaintaining par levels of daily operating supplies and collateral\nAssist with monthly inventory if needed.\nTake ownership of storage areas to maintain organization of the club.\nMaintains proper count of cash registers and performs nightly audits\nChecking daily for damaged items in need of documenting in the CH Maintenance Journal\nAdopt a leadership style that is professional, productive, and positive\nEducation & Experience:\nPrior hospitality experience required\nMust be 21 years of age\nSkills and Abilities:\nExcellent communication skills\nExcellent customer service skills\nProficient multitasking\nAbility to recall and memorize menu items\nAbility to work well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment\nPhysical Requirements:\nProlonged periods of time walking, standing, and on one's feet.
