This position is responsible for monitoring activity on-site, enforcing security policies, and maintaining a welcoming but secure environment for all guests and staff. The ideal candidate is observant, calm under pressure, and committed to maintaining a high standard of professionalism.Responsibilities:Conduct routine patrols of the premises to deter theft, monitor behavior, and report suspicious activityMonitor and control access to the facility, ensuring only authorized personnel and guests enter secure areasRespond quickly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including basic first aid if requiredMaintain clear and accurate incident reports, security logs, and shift summariesEnforce company policies and compliance regulations to ensure a safe environmentDeliver professional customer service by assisting patients, customers, and employees with information, directions, or supportCoordinate with management and local authorities when necessary during incidents or emergenciesSupport daily operations by helping with crowd control, ID verification, and line management during peak hoursSupervisory Responsibilities:NoneQualifications:1+ year of professional security experience preferredStrong observational and decision-making skillsExcellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skillsAbility to remain calm and professional in high-stress or emergency situationsMust be comfortable enforcing policies and protocols consistently and respectfullyMust be at least 21 years of ageValid state-issued identificationHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredEducation and Certifications:High school diploma or GED requiredFormal security training or certification is a plus but not requiredPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift up to 25 lbsMust be able to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periodsAbility to travel between nearby store locations as neededWork Environment:On-site, retail dispensary environmentHigh customer traffic with potential for exposure to loud environments, outdoor temperatures, and long periods on footSchedule varies and may include weekends, holidays, and night shiftsTravel Requirements:Minimal travel required between local Mint Cannabis locations Equal Opportunity Employer Statement: Mint Cannabis is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
