Our team does more than identify problems— we provide solutions.\n\nJob Description:\n\nWe are seeking a mid-career Remediation Project Engineer - Mechanical/Environmental who combines strong engineering design expertise with consulting and project management capabilities. This individual will join our high-performing team of engineers and scientists to support and lead remediation-focused projects across multiple service lines, including Remediation, Sediment & Risk Assessment, and Business Services. Our ideal candidate has 8–12 years of experience, thrives in a collaborative consulting environment, and is excited to serve as a technical lead and task or project manager on a wide variety of challenging and meaningful remediation projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nTechnical Expertise & Engineering Design\nSupport remedial system designs such as groundwater extraction and treatment systems, soil vapor extraction systems, thermal remediation system, and in-situ injection remedies\nPrepare engineering design documents including technical specifications, bid packages, cost estimates, and as-built drawings\nPerform remedy selection and feasibility evaluations for complex sites with multiple contaminants and regulatory frameworks\nConduct performance monitoring design and optimization, and system O&M evaluations\nSupport permitting efforts (RCRA, NPDES, Air) and development of regulatory submittals\nProject & Task Management\nLead implementation of scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for technical task\nCoordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure quality, timely, and cost-effective delivery\nPrepare and review work plans, technical reports, and remedial action plans\nEnsure effective communication and coordination across multidisciplinary teams\nClient Service & Business Development\nServe as a technical resource in client meetings, regulatory discussions, and proposal development\nAssist in identifying growth opportunities within existing projects and client relationships\nSupport proposal preparation, cost estimating, and project scoping efforts\n\nRequired experience and expertise include:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechnical Engineering, or related field\n8–12 years of environmental consulting experience with progressive technical and project responsibilities\nDemonstrated experience in remedial design and implementation, environmental data analysis, and regulatory reporting\nExperience managing scopes, schedules, and budgets on engineering-focused tasks or projects\nProficiency with engineering tools such as AutoCAD, Excel, and applicable modeling software\nExcellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills\nAbility to travel for field programs and client meetings, as needed (10–15%)\nPE licensure or ability to obtain licensure within 1 year\nFamiliarity with CERCLA, RCRA, and state environmental regulatory programs\nExperience mentoring and delegating to junior staff and contributing to internal knowledge sharing\n\nKey skills and traits:\nExcellent writing and editing skills.
