Industrial Maintenance Senior Supervisor

DescriptionWe are seeking a hands-on Senior Supervisor to lead the Maintenance Department in our door manufacturing facility. This role oversees first and second shift teams, ensuring safe, efficient, and proactive maintenance operations, with regular Saturday work required. Key Responsibilities:Manage the Maintenance Department by developing corrective actions, designing preventive schedules, and overseeing predictive programs like vibration analysis or thermal imaging. Refine these processes to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Oversee parts procurement by negotiating with vendors, implementing CMMS tracking, and maintaining lean storeroom operations for just-in-time availability. Lead continuous improvement using lean tools like Kaizen, track KPIs (MTTR, MTBF), and ensure cost reductions by evaluating vendors for best value. Conduct safety audits, ensure OSHA compliance, and lead incident root cause analysis. Provide direction on PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley), hydraulic systems, and electrical work (NFPA 70E) while ensuring technicians are trained and capable. Establish forklift PM schedules (ANSI/ITSDF compliant) and monitor fleet performance metrics. Engage hands-on during critical downtimes-troubleshoot complex PLC, hydraulic, or electrical issues-leading by example when necessary. Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or relevant degree a plus. Previous leadership in manufacturing maintenance. Strong working knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment. Familiarity with forklift maintenance. Strong leadership and communication skills.
