As an EHS Engineer, you will perform hazard assessments, incident investigations, work through employees’ safety concerns and issues, as well as strategize with site leaders to prevent/reduce injuries. In addition, you will ensure environmental compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements applicable to these departments.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n\nDevelop and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and/or guidelines established by Texas Health and Safety Codes, OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH\n\nCollaborate with department leadership to complete job hazard assessments and implement health and safety policies and procedures\n\nExecute industrial hygiene studies to analyze manufacturing byproducts against associated human health thresholds\n\nInspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment in order to identify and correct potential hazards, and implement machine guarding when needed\n\nComplete and maintain documented safety observations from regular hazard identification audits\n\nInvestigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine root causes, corrective actions and preventive measures\n\nDevelop safety solutions to resolve EHS hazards/ concerns within cost and schedule constraints following a safety order of precedence to include elimination, substitution, engineering controls, work practice controls, training, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure that safety of personnel, property, and the environment are within acceptable risk boundaries\n\nResponsible for hazardous and non-hazardous waste management\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\n\nBachelor’s degree in engineering with an emphasis in occupational health and safety and/or environmental engineering\n\n3+ years of experience in the design, development and operational oversight of environmental, health and safety disciplines\n\nDemonstrated ability to research and apply the best industrial and working practices to provide effective services\n\nKnowledge of process safety management methods, pressure systems, and chemical delivery systems\n\nStrong knowledge and experience in interpreting, applying and documenting federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations\n\nExperience with emergency response communication and incident management in incidents involving hazardous and non-hazardous material releases to air, soil, and water\n\nAbout the Team\nThe Environmental Health & Safety team is responsible for building and maintaining a culture where safety is embedded into every aspect of our operations. We partner closely with field, warehouse, manufacturing, and leadership teams to proactively identify risks, implement practical safety solutions, and ensure compliance across a rapidly growing operation.
