The responsibilities will include both new development as well as maintenance tasks. Specific tasks will include:\nGuiding the technical design for modernization of legacy systems.\nCoordinating the technical solutions among various technical support groups.\nMaking changes in multiple systems in real time to enable changes requested by user group.\nImplementing technical solutions.\nDeveloping tax processing system components and maintaining existing processing systems.\nSupporting production tasks including analysis of issue, proposing and implementing solutions for defect resolution.\nCoordinating with development team on development activities and integration testing.\nDeveloping technical design documents and program specifications.\nGuiding requirements gathering sessions.\nGuiding the analysis of requirements and system design work.\nCoding and performing unit and integration tests of programming assignments.\nWriting and tuning SQL.\nSupporting user testing efforts.\nPerformance tune new and existing applications.\nMentoring less experienced staff.\nMandatory Qualifications:\nSoftware Architect – Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms.
