We specialize in the manufacture and supply of emergency refuge chambers, safe havens, disaster shelters, and grow chambers, as well as a range of remote monitoring, tracking, and communications technologies that allow full integration in heavy industrial applications.We are currently looking for a passionate Workshop Supervisor to manage up to ten workshop technicians. As a Workshop Supervisor, you will oversee and direct daily production activities in a manufacturing facility, ensuring smooth and efficient processes, adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, team management, workflow monitoring, and coordination with other departments to meet production targets and deadlines.Key Responsibilities:\r\nLeadership & Team Support\r\nCollaborate with Production Manager to coordinate daily activities for the production technician team.\r\nProvide training, coaching, and hands‐on support to develop team skills and promote consistent performance.\r\nAssist with troubleshooting production‐related issues across equipment, materials, processes, and personnel.\r\nPromote a strong safety culture and quality‐driven mindset across the team.Production & Workflow Management:\r\nSupervise daily workshop operations and allocate labor based on production schedules.\r\nEnsure timely completion of buildings according to the production schedule by leveraging and properly allocating resources.\r\nPreparation of production materials for Production Technicians.\r\nHold daily entry or exit meetings to track progress.\r\nAssist in completing the fit-out of all manufactured products as needed.\r\nCommunicate schedule changes to management.\r\nMaintain a clean, well‐organized, and hazard‐free work area in alignment with 5S and safety practices.\r\nBecome subject matter expert across all product lines.Quality Management:\r\nEnsure consistent adherence to established quality standards by monitoring workmanship, materials, and processes throughout all stages of production.\r\nPerform and oversee in-process and final inspections to verify product conformance.\r\nAccurately complete and approve quality checklists, inspection records, and production documentation.\r\nEnforce compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality management system requirements, and company policies. Identify and address deviations promptly.\r\nIdentify quality issues, support root cause analysis, and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality and process efficiency.Technical Skills we require from you:\r\n5+ years in a manufacturing company.\r\n3+ years supervisory experience.\r\nAbility to understand technical products.\r\nGeneral computing skills including Outlook, Teams, Word & Excel.\r\nProduction scheduling experience.\r\nA good electro-mechanical technical background.\r\nProficient in reading engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and technical specifications.Personal skills we require from you:\r\nAttention to Detail – Carefully follows instructions, verifies work quality, and consistently catches errors before they impact downstream processes.\r\nStrong Work Ethic & Reliability – Dependable and consistent with minimal supervisor required.\r\nEffective Communication – Clearly communicates and shares information with teammates, supervisor, and management.\r\nTeam Collaboration – Works well with others and contributes to team culture.\r\nProblem‐Solving & Critical Thinking – Identifies issues early and recommends practical, effective solutions.\r\nAdaptability & Flexibility – Adjusts well to changing priorities, evolving production schedules, or unexpected challenges.\r\nTime Management & Prioritization – Organizes work effectively, manages multiple tasks, and maintains productivity.\r\nAccountability & Ownership – Takes responsibility for work quality and continuous improvement.\r\nPhysically capable of repeatedly lifting up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.Advantageous skills you may have......\r\nBilingual: English and Spanish.\r\nForklift certified.\r\nOSHA 10 hours.\r\nPreviously worked in an ISO9001:2015 certified company.\r\nElectronics experience.\r\nPLC experience.\r\nFamiliar with Canadian Electrical regulations.\r\nHVAC experience.\r\nRoot cause analysis, lean manufacturing, 5S methodology.\r\nShop floor software experience.\r\nCompany Description MineARC Systems provides safety solutions to the mining, tunneling, and petrochemical industries.
