For the first time ever, safety, operations and finance teams can manage their drivers, vehicles, equipment, and fleet related spend in a single system. Combined with industry leading AI, the Motive platform gives you complete visibility and control, and significantly reduces manual workloads by automating and simplifying tasks.\n\nMotive serves nearly 100,000 customers – from Fortune 500 enterprises to small businesses – across a wide range of industries, including transportation and logistics, construction, energy, field service, manufacturing, agriculture, food and beverage, retail, and the public sector.\n\nVisit gomotive.com to learn more.\n\nAbout the Team\n\nEquipment Monitoring (EM) is Motive's connected-asset product line, covering asset gateways, beacons, and environmental and door sensors. EM is one of Motive's high-growth business lines, and we have an ambitious roadmap to execute. The EM team owns the end-to-end customer experience, from the device to the cloud, web, and mobile software customers use every day.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nAs the Cloud Software TPM for Equipment Monitoring, you will own the end-to-end delivery of EM programs across cloud software (backend, frontend, and mobile), from quarterly planning and sprint execution through customer launch and adoption. Most EM projects combine embedded, IoT, backend, and frontend work, and you will make sure those pieces come together into one cohesive plan with clear owners, milestones, and dependencies.\n\nYou will be accountable for the customer deliverables, release readiness, and measurable business outcomes of each program. Where a program involves hardware, firmware, or embedded work, you will partner closely with the hardware org TPM and embedded counterparts to work out dependencies and stay in sync on timelines and readiness, while driving the overall plan through to launch. Your ownership and delivery directly shape EM's impact on customers.\n\nWhat You'll Do\nPlan: Partner with EM Product and Engineering to turn quarterly and half-year roadmaps into detailed cloud software project plans with milestones, owners, measurable customer and business outcomes, and risks.\nConnect the pieces: Track cross-team dependencies for each project across embedded, hardware, IoT/Platform, Product Ops, PMM, Design, and Support, partnering closely with the hardware org TPM on devices and international rollouts so projects don't stall in the gaps between teams and customer commitments are met.\nOwn end-to-end delivery: Be accountable for each program from kickoff through customer launch and adoption, tracking milestones across concurrent programs, surfacing risks and tradeoffs early (scope, quality, and timeline), and driving decisions with stakeholders and leadership to keep delivery on track. Use customer feedback and support signals to close the loop after launch.\nCommunicate: Maintain a single source of truth for program status, share weekly updates, and report program health, risks, and outcomes in monthly and quarterly business reviews, translating technical detail into business impact.\nRun the operating rhythm: Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and demos for EM cloud engineering, and drive release-readiness checkpoints so quality risks surface before launch.\nImprove how we work: Run intake and triage for ad-hoc requests, fix recurring execution gaps with durable solutions, and lead quarter- and project-level retrospectives.\nWhat We're Looking For\n5+ years of experience in technical program management, with the technical fluency to engage credibly with engineers on architecture, tradeoffs, and delivery risks; a technical degree or equivalent experience is recommended.\nProven track record leading large, ambiguous, multi-team cloud software programs (backend, web, mobile) with significant cross-team dependencies and measurable customer or business impact.\nBias for action and root-cause problem solving over administrative tracking.\nStrong organization and communication; ability to lead and coach without authority across distributed teams and to translate technical detail into clear updates for leadership.\nAbility to define and track quality and delivery metrics (for example, escaped defects, reliability, predictability, customer feedback) and turn data into an action plan.\nComfort in a fast-paced, changing environment, building process where little exists.\nExperience with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools, strong knowledge of agile methods, and experience using automation (including AI tools) to keep programs visible without manual overhead for engineers.\nPreferred Experience\nExposure to connected-device or IoT products (firmware release cycles, device qualification, OTA updates), which helps in partnering with hardware and embedded teams.\nCSM or PMP certification.\n\nCreating a diverse and inclusive workplace is one of Motive's core values. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities and perspectives.\n\nPlease review our Candidate Privacy Notice here.\n\nUK Candidate Privacy Notice here.\n\nThe applicant must be authorized to receive and access those commodities and technologies controlled under U.S. Export Administration Regulations. It is Motive's policy to require that employees be authorized to receive access to Motive products and technology.\n\nRegarding US-based roles, depending on your role and primary work location, Motive Technologies, Inc. (\"Employer\") discloses candidates may be required to execute a non-compete covenant with the Employer. This requirement does not apply to lawyers, interns, or employees working in CA, MN, MT, ND, OK, or where otherwise prohibited by law.\n\nNon-compete covenant terms in all other jurisdictions will be subject to the applicable statutory requirements, including but not limited to, procedures, industry related prohibitions, or salary and compensation thresholds.\n\nAll job postings are for existing vacancies.
