Lead hvac installer/light service tech

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Installer/Light Service Technician to oversee and perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, field service experience, and the ability to interpret schematics and HVAC design plans. This role requires leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality service in commercial and residential settings. Duties Lead installation of HVAC systems including air conditioning, refrigeration, and ammonia refrigeration units. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on HVAC equipment and related property systems. Interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to ensure accurate system setup. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems and ensure proper integration with existing property infrastructure. Operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for equipment repair and troubleshooting. Utilize welding and mechanical skills for equipment repair and installation tasks. Assist with boiler maintenance and repair as needed. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes. Manage field service operations efficiently while maintaining high customer satisfaction standards. Supervise or assist other team members during projects, providing guidance on best practices. Skills Extensive experience in construction, HVAC/R systems, and property maintenance. Proven service technician experience with a focus on HVAC installation and repair. Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical systems. Knowledge of plumbing, refrigeration systems, ammonia refrigeration, and boiler operation. Mechanical aptitude with proficiency in equipment repair, welding, and maintenance tasks. Familiarity with appliance repair and general property upkeep. Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately. Field service experience with a focus on air conditioning units and related systems. Valid driver’s license for transportation to job sites. Experience working with HVAC/R equipment using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
