Certified Recovery Specialist
Job Overview
The Recovery Specialist plays a vital role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery from addiction or behavioral challenges. This position involves working closely with clients to provide guidance, support, and resources necessary for achieving their recovery goals. The Recovery Specialist is responsible for fostering a safe and supportive environment that encourages personal growth and development.
Duties
Provide one-on-one support to clients, assisting them in developing coping strategies and life skills.
Facilitate group sessions focused on recovery topics, including addiction counseling and behavior management.
Maintain accurate records of client progress, including data entry and case management documentation.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create individualized recovery plans tailored to each client's needs.
Implement conflict management techniques to resolve disputes and promote a harmonious environment.
Conduct regular assessments of client needs and adjust support strategies as necessary.
Ensure the safety of clients by administering first aid when required and maintaining a secure environment.
Assist clients with childcare needs as they navigate their recovery process.
Skills
Strong background in addiction counseling and behavior management is essential.
Proficiency in data entry and case management practices.
Certification in relevant fields is preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to manage conflicts effectively while promoting positive interactions among clients.
Knowledge of first aid procedures to ensure client safety.
Experience in providing childcare support is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective interactions with clients and team members.
This role requires a compassionate individual dedicated to helping others achieve lasting recovery through structured support and guidance.
Must have reliable transportation as you will be recquired to travel to neighboring communities and our other two offices from time to time; Wexford & Southside.
CRS certification preferred, but NOT recquired. We can help you obtain certification.
Must be in recovery!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
