Assembly Technician - 2nd Shift

Job Title: Assembly Technician - 2nd ShiftThe Assembly Technician works under close supervision to perform basic assembly of unit sections and sub-assemblies, as assigned within Evapco. The assembly technician may perform work independently or with assistance from other team members.Position Reports to: Assembly SupervisorMajor Areas of Responsibility: Accurately and efficiently assemble all models of Evapco towers, coolers, and condensersBuild and correctly install various tower, cooler, and condenser sub-assemblies, including:Fans & DrivesPumpsWater Distribution SystemsPulse Pure and Smart Shield Water Treatment SystemsControllersElectric MotorsRead and comprehend various engineering and production documents, drawings, and instructionsPerforms dimensional and visual inspection of parts, assemblies, and final product as directed by the team leaderWorking under close supervision, assist as directed at customer locations to repair and install Evapco equipmentParticipate in team and shop business problem-solving activities that include quality, safety, scrap reduction, and process improvementsAttend related training courses as scheduledFollow all related written and oral work instructionsMay perform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, & Experience:Capable of and demonstrate all skills required of a Mechanic HelperA high school diploma or GED Equivalent is requiredUse, read, and comprehend a tape measure to within 1/32” is requiredBasic nomenclature and practical use of hand tools are requiredReading and understanding Evapco production specifications, engineering drawings, and BOM’s, is requiredBilingual (English/Spanish), is preferredWork Environment & Physical Requirements:Industrial setting (i.e., factory, outdoor)Temperature Extremes, in general, range from 20° F. to 110° F.Requires very good agility (i.e., bending, standing, walking, climbing, reaching, squatting, twisting, and lifting)Working at high elevations (i.e., tops of tall buildings or platforms)Normal work week Monday through Friday, Saturday work likely, some Sunday workMay be required to work swing, when business needs dictateEvapco’s Summary of Pay & Benefits:Medical, Vision, & Dental Insurance Employee Stock Ownership Program – we are an employee-owned companyProfit Sharing Bonus – which is paid twice per year (k)larity Plan - Voluntary Employee Retirement Savings PlanPaid HolidaysPaid VacationPaid Maternity and Paternity LeaveBereavement PayCompany Paid Basic Life Insurance equivalent to base salary, with option for Supplemental Life electionPaid Sick Leave Long Term DisabilityEqual Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer M/F/Disabled/Veteran
