Auto Data Entry & Parts Specialist
Position SummaryThe Data Entry & Parts Specialist will be responsible for ordering, stocking, and distributing automotive and equipment parts, as well as maintaining inventory records on a computer.Pay Transparancy/Compensation$19.50 - $24.00/hourResponsibilitiesOrder parts, materials, and supplies used in maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipmentProcess invoices for payment; verify receipt of invoiced parts, materials, and suppliesMaintain and track inventory records on a computerUnload, store, transport, deliver, and distribute parts, materials, and suppliesWork with vendors/sales representatives; follow up on items not received and check on item prices/availabilityClean the parts storage and work areaWork is typically based in a busy service center/maintenance garage environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must be willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by established Company Safety Standards. Normal work hours are in two shifts, Monday-Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm or Monday-Friday 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may also be required. Other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required1-2 years of automotive/equipment parts and supply clerk experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilitiesMust have a valid US Driver’s License and satisfactory driver recordMay require forklift certificationAbility to utilize a wide variety of reference and descriptive data and information, such as purchase orders, invoices, delivery slips, vendor contracts, and safety data sheetsProficiency with MS Office SuiteEffective oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completionProblem solving skills with an analytical thought processAbility to adapt to a rapidly changing environmentMust be able to lift, lower, carry, push or move objects up to 25lbs. Various tasks may require intermittent standing or prolonged sitting, and the ability to walk, reach, kneel, crouch and handle work related supplies and tools.
