TPZP is seeking a Segment Manager for the project in Fresno, CA\r\nAbout California High Speed Rail- CP1\r\nExtraordinary Projects, Exceptional Performance\r\nThe California High-Speed Rail Authority's Construction Package 1 (CP1) is the first significant construction contract executed on the Initial Operating Section of the High-Speed Rail project in California's Central Valley.\r\nThe CP1 construction area is a 32-mile stretch between Avenue 19 in Madera County to East American Avenue in Fresno County, including major work elements in downtown Fresno. It includes 12 roadway / railroad grade separations, two mainline viaducts, one tunnel, realignments of existing railroad tracks, utility relocations, roadway relocations, two trench sections, and a major river crossing over the San Joaquin River.\r\nDescription\r\nAssist the Project Executive in management of the project through oversight of a segment of the 30- mile Project.\r\nLiaise with owner representatives, project staff, subcontractors and A/E contacts, to facilitate construction activities within the assigned Project segment.\r\nFully understand and manage construction of assigned segment in accordance with all plans and specifications\r\nMonitor/control construction of assigned segment through administrative direction of on-site Superintendents to ensure project is built safely, meeting all quality standards, on schedule and within budget\r\nIdentify potential construction issues, evaluate and implement best value solutions to facilitate uninterrupted construction\r\nInvestigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.\r\nRepresent company in project meetings, assist in strategy meetings, etc.\r\nManage financial aspects of contracts to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with owner.\r\nRequirements\r\nBachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or similar\r\n5 or more years of experience as a Project Manager on heavy civil projects\r\n15 or more years of construction experience\r\nPrevious experience in construction of rail projects\r\nOur Mission\r\nWe build critical infrastructure that creates a better world.\r\nOur Vision\r\nWe strive to be the preeminent full-service civil, building, and specialty contractor by delivering innovative, transformative projects through world-class execution.
