Account Strategist

Our major retail client is seeking an experienced Manager of Account Strategy to join their team for an 8.5 month assignment. This role is responsible for developing and executing data-driven advertising strategies across omnichannel media platforms. The position combines strategic planning with hands-on campaign management, requiring a strong understanding of brand marketing objectives and the ability to translate them into effective media solutions. The individual will serve as a subject matter expert in campaign execution, audience strategy, and performance optimization, while partnering closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes and drive growth.The BasicsDuration: 8.5 monthsHours: Approximately 40 hours per weekLocation: Hybrid in LA, Bay Area or San Bruno officesTop 3 Required Qualifications3+ years of experience managing or consulting on digital media campaigns across display, video, search, social, and programmatic channelsStrong understanding of digital media metrics and media math, including CPM, CPC, CTR, and ROAS, with the ability to optimize campaigns based on performance dataProven client-facing experience with excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to deliver strategic recommendationsOther QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related fieldStrong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience collaborating cross-functionally with sales, account, and technical teamsComfort navigating ambiguity and adapting to evolving business needsProficiency with Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce, Tableau, Power BI, or similar toolsExperience with programmatic platforms, DSPs, or ad tech ecosystems is preferredAdvanced degree in a related field is a plusKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute strategic media plans across managed-service and self-service channelsLead end-to-end campaign management including setup, pacing, optimization, and reportingPartner with sales and account teams to create data-driven proposals aligned with client objectivesAct as a consultative expert on media strategy, audience targeting, and campaign executionLead client and agency meetings, presenting performance insights and optimization recommendationsMonitor campaign performance and provide actionable insights to improve results and drive growthEnsure campaigns are launched accurately and on time while adhering to internal processes and quality standardsIdentify and present upsell opportunities to expand campaign scope and increase revenueCollaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully traffic and manage campaigns across platformsTroubleshoot campaign issues and implement timely solutions to maintain performance and client satisfactionIn this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
