You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest hardware and software technology.\r\nTHE PERSON\r\nThe ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.\r\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\r\n\r\nDesign, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery of software components across cloud and hybrid environments\r\nArchitect and implement scalable automation solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Helm, or Pulumi\r\nDeploy and manage containerized workloads on Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE, AKS, or OpenShift)\r\nCluster & Node Management for aks/eks, nodepools, replica sets.\r\nHands on with cloud best practices with (s3, IAM, VPC, Cloudfronts) or similar Cloud infra.\r\nProvisioning, maintenance and scaling Cloud native databases (RDS, Clickhouse) or similar\r\nDesign and implement cloud infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and self-healing mechanisms using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch\r\nManage cloud infrastructure across one or more providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) with a focus on reliability, cost optimization, and security posture\r\nBuild, package, and distribute software for Linux-based containerized ecosystems\r\nCollaborate with development teams to define branching strategies, code promotion workflows, and GitOps practices\r\nPerform code and infrastructure reviews; enforce DevSecOps best practices in the delivery pipeline\r\nWork in an Agile, test-driven model with a bias toward automation and observability\r\nCreate and maintain technical runbooks, architecture documentation, and user guides\r\n\r\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE\r\n\r\nStrong scripting and automation skills in Python, Shell, and/or Go; Groovy for pipeline-as-code (Jenkinsfile)\r\nHands-on expertise with container ecosystems: Docker, containerd, Kubernetes, and Helm\r\nDeep experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC), GCP (GKE, Cloud Build), or Azure (AKS, Azure DevOps)\r\nProficiency with IaC tools: Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi for provisioning and configuration management\r\nStrong expertise with CI/CD platforms: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Tekton\r\nExperience with GitOps tooling: ArgoCD, Flux, or equivalent\r\nFamiliarity with Linux packaging (RPM, DEB) and software build systems (CMake, Make) for containerized driver or kernel module delivery\r\nExperience with artifact management: Artifactory, Nexus, or OCI-compliant registries (Quay, ECR, GHCR)\r\nWorking knowledge of secrets management: Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or Sealed Secrets\r\nFamiliarity with observability stacks: Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, or Datadog\r\nExperience building and maintaining custom solutions as wrappers on top of aws/azure clouds.\r\nChampioning self service designs reducing day to day cloud operations.\r\nMulti substrate expereince to scale one solution across multiple clouds.\r\nCross team collaboration.\r\nExperience with source control management and code review workflows via GitHub Enterprise or Gerrit\r\nContributions to open source projects are a definite plus\r\n\r\nPREFERRED ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS\r\n\r\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent\r\n\r\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\r\nLI-G11\r\nLI-HYBRID\r\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\r\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
