Project Manager (Financial Services)
Overview:Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced project manager with a banking and financial services background to lead our project delivery organization and drive strategic initiatives across the enterprise. This senior leadership role will oversee a portfolio of complex, cross-functional projects while building and mentoring a high-performing team of project managers.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine project vision and align initiatives with overall business strategyOversee portfolio of projects, ensuring appropriate prioritization and resource allocationLead, mentor, and develop project managers and cross-functional teamsBuild and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite executivesCommunicate project status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadershipEnsure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budgetIdentify, assess, and mitigate project risks and develop contingency plansManage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to maximize ROIEstablish and enforce project management standards, methodologies, and best practicesLead organizational change initiatives and drive adoption of new processes and systemsConduct project reviews, audits, and post-implementation evaluationsProvide regular updates and reports to executive leadership Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field10+ years of project management experience with at least 5 years leading project managersProven track record managing complex, cross-functional, multi-million-dollar projectsMastery of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Lean, Six Sigma)PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certificationStrong financial acumen with budgeting and cost control experienceExcellent stakeholder management and executive communication skillsExperience leading organizational change initiativesProficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Asana) Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree or MBAAgile/Scrum or Change Management certificationExperience establishing PMO functions Key CompetenciesStrategic thinking and ability to align projects to business outcomesStrong leadership and ability to influence without direct authorityAnalytical problem-solving and data-driven decision makingExecutive presence and excellent communication skillsResults-oriented with focus on quality and accountability
