The Technician is responsible for Programming, Troubleshooting, Commissioning, as well as Coordinating with other trades on the project site.\n\nResponsibilities for Programming Technician\n\nThe ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Fire Alarm programming, service, and installation\nThe candidate must have strong technical skills and training or certificates in advanced Notifier programming, Onyx, network and others\nCoordination with the local office team on status on projects\nAssist in training of customer on new equipment provided in the contract\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints and schematics\nKnowledge of local, state, and national codes and regulations\nAbility to work flexible hours and travel as needed\n\nResponsibilities\n\nProgram and service fire alarm systems in commercial and residential buildings\nProvide technical support to the project team and clients\nDevelop and maintain project schedules and budgets\nConduct site surveys and ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes and regulations\nTroubleshoot and repair Fire Alarm systems\nInstallation and Termination of Control Panel\nTrain and mentor junior programmers and technicians\nParticipate in project meetings and provide technical guidance to project team members\nAssist the Service Department with On-Call Rotation\n\nGeneral Qualifications for Programming Technician\n\nCalifornia Blue Card\nFactory Certification\nHigh School Diploma/GED\nValid Driver’s License with good driving history\n\nPhysical and Environmental Demands\n\nSitting – Frequently (3-6 hours/daily)\nWalking –Frequently (3-6 hours/daily)\nStanding- Constantly (6-8 hours/daily)\nStanding on Ladder- Frequently (3-6 hours/daily)\nBending (Neck and Waist) – Constantly (6-8 hours/daily)\nSquatting – Frequently (3-6 hours/daily)\nClimbing – Frequently (3-6 hours/daily)\nKneeling - Frequently (3-6 hours/daily)\nCrawling – Occasionally (0-3 hours/daily)\nTwisting (Neck and Waist) – Occasionally (0-3 hours/daily)\nGrasping (crimping) – Constantly (6-8 hours/daily)\nLifting 0-70lb – Frequently (3-6 hours/daily)\nCarrying 0-70lb – Frequently (3-6 hours/daily)\n\nBenefits include:\n\nMedical, Dental, Vision and Life, insurance plans – employee contributions required\nBasic Life/AD&D Insurance and Long-Term Disability Insurance – covered by the employer\nDiscounted AFLAC is available at the employee's expense\n401K Retirement plan\nVacation days, dependent on the position\nCA paid sick leave earned at the rate per CA state law requirements\nPaid holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and the day after, Christmas Day\n\nPyro-Comm Systems, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
