Job Description A regional medical center in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Director of Women's Services to lead a comprehensive women's and children's service line within a 340+ bed facility that includes an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU — as well as the region's only Maternal Fetal Health Center for critically ill mothers and babies.The role. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Women's Services holds 24-hour accountability for nursing leadership across assigned women's services areas, overseeing the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. This leader collaborates closely with physicians and interdisciplinary departments to anticipate and meet the needs of patients and families throughout the care continuum. The Director manages departmental resources in a fiscally responsible manner while ensuring operations align with regulatory standards.What we're looking for.At least 5 years of recent (within the last year) experience as a manager or director in a large hospital with Women's Services focus, including experience in a high-acuity facility with at least 3,500 births per yearBSN requiredCurrently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulationCertification in area of specialty preferredAbility to achieve and then maintain BCLS certification is requiredExcellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills requiredSchedule.
