You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, quality assurance, and fellow developers, to deliver high quality software that empowers our clients to streamline their operations and achieve their goals.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the development team to understand requirements, design specifications, and technical documentation for municipal ERP software modulesWrite clean, efficient, and maintainable code in accordance with industry best practices and coding standardsImplement secure coding practices to ensure the robustness and integrity of the software, addressing potential vulnerabilities and mitigating security risksParticipate actively in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning,daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectivesContribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices to enhance team efficiency and product qualityConduct unit testing to identify and fix defects, ensuring the software meets functional and performance requirementsAssist in the troubleshooting and resolution of software defects and support technical issues as neededStay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in software development, recommending relevant enhancements to existing productsCommunicate progress, challenges, and successes effectively with the Development Manager and other team membersWork closely with ETL developers to assist in data conversions, ensuring smooth and accurate migration of data from legacy systems to the new municipal ERP softwareQualificationsProficiency in C# programming language, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principlesExperience with ASP.NET MVC, including knowledge of building scalable and maintainable Single Page Applications (SPA)In-depth knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, with the ability to create responsive and user-friendly web interfacesStrong familiarity with the .NET Framework, including various libraries and frameworks used for software development, including experience with Windows Forms applicationsSolid understanding of software development best practices, including version control (TFS/Azure DevOps), code documentation, and testing methodologiesProficient in working with SQL Server for relational database management and knowledgeable in writing efficient queries and stored proceduresProficient in working with Visual Studio, an integrated development environment (IDE) for software developmentAbility to manage stress and anxiety levels in complex and fast paced environmentsStrong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues efficientlyExcellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersUnderstanding of Agile software development methodologies and the ability to adapt to changing requirements and prioritiesAt BS&A, we love our team members and offer a highly competitive compensationand benefit package.
