This role builds the software that runs across our systems and our operation.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nThe Software Engineer works across the stack, not in a lane: platform and data services, internal tooling, test and telemetry pipelines, and software that touches hardware. The work is unglamorous and load-bearing — small team, real systems, code that ships and gets maintained. Military experience is strongly preferred; veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n- Build and maintain backend services, data pipelines, and internal tools\n\n- Write software that interfaces with hardware: test automation, telemetry capture, data from physical systems\n\n- Own work end to end — design, implementation, deployment, documentation\n\n- Collaborate with the engineering teams and technicians across disciplines\n\n- Support test activities, including processing and analysis of test data\n\nQualifications\n\n- Demonstrated ability to ship working software and maintain it — real systems over portfolio polish\n\n- Comfort working across unfamiliar layers of the stack rather than inside one specialty\n\n- Experience with software that touches hardware — embedded, robotics, test automation, or instrumentation — is a strong plus\n\n- Military experience is strongly preferred, particularly maintenance, avionics, UAS, communications, or intelligence backgrounds\n\n- No degree or minimum years of experience required — we hire for demonstrated capability\n\nField-test support: this role supports field testing — travel up to approximately 30% when scheduled, a motor-vehicle-record check, and a company-paid FAA Part 107 remote pilot certificate. Prior flight-test experience is not required.\n\nCompensation & Schedule\n\n$85,000–$140,000 per year. Full-time or part-time.
