The IT Engineer will initially be responsible for the configuration and deployment of computer desktop systems at overseas locations, primarily in underdeveloped countries in Africa and Asia.\nStrong documentation is a large part of this position as well as the support of logistical efforts and procurements. Installation and configuration of the client side software as well as integration of users into the active directory domain and or Microsoft Intune will be included in the responsibilities for this position. Future responsibilities will expand to support the design and configuration of the standard network infrastructure at these overseas locations.\nThe IT Professional will work remotely and from Fairfax, VA offices as needed and must travel overseas for client installations and training support. This international travel requires an active passport (or ability to get one). The candidate must be willing and comfortable with travel to some of the most underdeveloped countries in the world.\nRecommending and designing desktop environments based on the latest available hardware technologies\nCreating a stable, robust, secure desktop using M365 in-tune, that is compliant with patching policies\nAdding, removing users in Active Directory\nManaging GPO from end-user perspective\nManaging the installation of Antivirus agents\nManaging patch management with WSUS Patch Manager in Active Directory\nCreating Update Rings and Auto Patch rings in Microsoft 365\nStaging systems in Fairfax, VA for installation and configuration\nDocumenting a step-by-step workstation deployment process and continually update existing documentation\nConfigure and install WiFi Access Points\nConfigure and install IP based Security Cameras\nTraining IT staff overseas on process to deploy images\nAssisting on deployments overseas\nAssisting with hardware and software procurements and inventory management\nPacking and shipping systems and coordinating with international customs as needed\nRegistering all procured software with vendors\nAssisting with maintaining a Prototype of the Standard IT Infrastructure in Fairfax, VA offices\nMaintain backup system and log backups in the Fairfax lab\nUpgrade and modify software and hardware as needed in the Fairfax lab\nSalary Range: $95,000-$110,000\nGeneral Description of Benefits\nRequirements:\nExperience with Active Directory supporting clients Group Policy, DNS, File and Print service management\nMicrosoft 365 end user administration experience\nDeploying and Managing workstations with Intune\nManaging workstations with M365 Defender AV\nUpdating workstations with M365 update rings and auto patch\nOne Drive management\nConditional access Policy experience\nMicrosoft 365 collaboration\nSupporting Email / exchange\nSupporting Teams/ SharePoint\nStrong Windows update and Patching skills for physical servers\nExperience with Sophos endpoint protection antivirus (or other AV) systems is a plus\nExperience with WiFi Access Point deployment and support (Ubiquiti experience is a plus)\nExperience with Security Camera deployment and support (Ubiquiti experience is a plus)\nMust be willing to learn new systems\nMust be capable of working with vendor support to assist overseas teams on troubleshooting efforts if needed\nMust remain knowledgeable on the latest IT trends\nExperience with procurement and inventory\nExperience managing within virtual environments – Nutanix / VMware, etc..
