This is a long-term contract opportunity working within a multi-discipline engineering team on complex industrial facilities, including thermal and steam generation plants. This position is ideal for an engineer who has strong structural fundamentals, enjoys working in EPC or consulting environments, and is progressing toward PE licensure. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform structural analysis and design for industrial facilities, including steel structures, concrete systems, foundations, pipe racks, equipment supports, and platformsDevelop structural calculations and technical documentation in accordance with applicable codes and standards (AISC, ACI, ASCE, IBC, etc.)Support structural deliverables from conceptual design through detailed engineeringCoordinate with civil, mechanical, piping, and process disciplines to ensure integrated project executionReview vendor drawings and assist with construction support activitiesApply structural loading analysis including wind, seismic, and industrial equipment loadingEnsure quality and compliance with project specifications and client standards Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required5+ years of structural engineering experienceExperience working for an EPC firm preferred, but engineering consulting firm experience is acceptableExperience supporting industrial, energy, thermal facilities, or steam generation plantsStrong working knowledge of structural design codes and industry standardsAbility to work in a hybrid environment in Houston, TX Preferred QualificationsProgression toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or recently achievedExperience supporting construction or field engineering activitiesFamiliarity with 3D design/model coordination environmentsExperience in heavy industrial or power generation sectorsNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
