The linguist will be expected to deliver accurate, high-quality documentation within a specific deadline and timeline. Training regarding the specifics of the development will be provided.\n\nFor the right candidate, there is an additional opportunity to work with our Testing Operations team to score tests on a regular basis.\n\nResponsibilities\n1. Review and revise speaking and listening test content in Chechen, as per development specifications provided by ALTA Project Managers. Candidate will review content for its overall appropriateness and its relevancy to language proficiency.\n2. Report to Project Managers about the progress of the work.\n\nSkills\nNative speaker of the given target language as specified in the position title.\nExcellent reading comprehension skills in the target language.\nExcellent writing skills in the target language and in English.\nAdvanced communication skills in English.\nAbility and desire to work collaboratively.\nAbility to meet deadlines.\nProfessionalism.\nComputer literacy.\nResearch skills.\nEducation/Training\nDegree: College degree or equivalent experience. A degree in linguistics, translation, or similar is a plus.\nComputer Knowledge: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Must have email access with the capability to send and receive attached files, and must be able to navigate the Internet.\nLanguages: Native-level fluency in the target language is required. Ability to communicate in English is essential, as it will be the language used in communication with the project team.\nExperience\nPrevious experience in test development or review is preferred.\nPrevious experience using a language proficiency scale (e.g., ILR or CEFR) is preferred.\nExperience using the target language in a professional capacity (writing, teaching, translation, interpretation, etc.) is required.\n\nLOCATION\nRemote\nPLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, we are not able to hire in all 50 US States.
