CDL CLASS A ROUTE DRIVER

Excellent Pay and Benefits!Job SummaryDrives company-owned commercial tractor trailer trucks, transporting goods to multiple client sites in one day. Verifies load at pick-up to ensure each order is complete. Schedules deliveries in an efficient manner, making the most benefit of time and traffic. Delivers and stocks products as per each clients' specifications. Completes paperwork required for delivery, and ensures the client receives their copy. Client service focus. Communicates to applicable departments on a timely basis about the client's status and requirements to fulfill GCED recommendations.Essential ResponsibilitiesMinimum lifting of 35,200 lbs. daily, in total.Operate class A vehicle / tractor trailer.Operate electric pallet jack.Local delivery (Sarasota and Manatee counties).Deliver and rotate products.Previous sales route experience a plus.Complete and submit on a timely basis all required administrative paperwork.Skills and QualificationsAble to maintain a safe driving record7 year CDL driving historyCDL Class A license is requiredAbility and willingness to work flexible hours.Proven ability to safely operate job-related equipment (hand truck, pallet jack, etc.)Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.Strong internal and external customer service focusStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to establish and maintain professional, respectful relationships.Benefit PackageCompany paid - Health Insurance (Medical / Dental / Vision)Company paid - Life Insurance and Short-term disability.401 K (3% to 5% of your yearly pay)Paid vacation time:5 days (1-week) after completion of 1 year10 days (2-weeks) after completion of 2 years15 days (3-weeks) after completion of 10 yearsWorking ConditionsThe job requires this employee to drive a Company tracker trailer, transporting goods in accordance with client's orders. Lifting and carrying goods or forklift/dolly from the vehicle to the retail site, then to the client's cooler, which may have hazards such as a wet floor, wires, etc. This employee is expected to use caution at all times while on the job.Physical RequirementsPass a Pre-employment drug screen, background check and Company physical (see below)Ability to get the job done both inside (air conditioning) and outside (Florida heat) with extreme temperature swings.All employees in this position must have a company-sponsored physical to assess his/her ability to perform the essential functions of this position. Should the physical result in a questionable outcome, GCED will engage the employee in negotiations to determine if the employee can be reasonably accommodated within business guidelines.
