Organizes, schedules, and controls the preparation of food; including ordering, scheduling, selling, and tracking all food and food related items and is responsible for controlling cost and managing spoilage.\n\nResponsibilities\nEnsure self and all employees provide professional, courteous, and timely service to all customers.\nPerforms duties at multiple workstations (e.g., food prep, make table, expediter, etc.)\nComplete all store housekeeping functions (i.e., dusting, sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, etc.).\nSet inventory levels for all items and order appropriately, following company guidelines.\nEnsure proper receiving, storage and rotation of all goods received following company guidelines.\nSchedule employees based on peak demand times.\nTrain employees in food preparation, sanitation rules and regulations.\nShare responsibility for shift coverage for call-offs when no other help can be found.\nEnsure that company recipes and quantities are adhered to using “Price book” guidelines.\nEnsure that all company food safety guidelines, rules and procedures are followed by self and employees.\nComplete customer transactions accurately and efficiently, and ensure compliance with applicable age restricted product regulations (i.e., alcohol).\nIdentify and resolve inventory control problems.\nSchedule hours of work for self and employees to optimize operation and control labor costs across all shifts.\nComplete and submit all forms and spreadsheets necessary to complete profit and loss statements in an accurate and timely way.\nComplete, submit, and distribute forms related to all personnel issues as requested.\nIdentify opportunities to improve service and productivity, reduce costs, and increase sales and make recommendations to the appropriate personnel.\nUse a team-based approach to solving problems and resolving personnel issues.\nDemonstrate high standards and work ethics to others through words and actions.\nAbility to manage sensitive and confidential information or situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.\nMaintain clean, neat and orderly work area appearance at all times.\nStock and maintain inventory levels as required throughout the store.\nAbility to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/snow/icy conditions.\nDevelop co-workers for promotion as skills and aptitudes are identified and developed.\nComplete daily store errands including but not limited to picking up grocery items.\nComply with all company policies at all times.\nActs as Person in Charge (PIC) in Manager’s absence.\n\nAdditional Responsibilities for VGT Stores\nMonitor the VGT room at all times and card patrons who appear to be under the age of 27.\nSee VGT binder at the store for full description of responsibilities.\n\nEssential Functions\nAbility to use a PC, mobile device, and/or other electronics.\nTalk, hear, read, write, and comprehend English.\nPerform duties at multiple workstations (i.e., food prep, make table, expediter, etc.)*\nComplete all store housekeeping functions (i.e., dusting, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, etc.).*\nAbility to be at work on time when scheduled.\nAbility to multi-task in fast-paced environment.\nHigh energy, positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.\nInteract productively with co-workers and function well in a team environment.\nThorough understanding of company policies and practices.\nValid driver’s license, proof of insurance and reliable vehicle are required; must travel to store locations as well as offsite meetings.\n\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nAbility to stand for prolonged periods of time.\nFrequent walking, stretching, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, grasping, and repetitive movements.\nMust be able to lift, push, and/or pull up to 30 lbs.\nAbility to get product in cold refrigerator or freezer.\nMust be able to tolerate exposure to cleaning products.\nMust be able to wear required personal protective equipment (i.e. gloves, face shield/goggles, apron, mitts, slip resistant shoes, etc.\n\nPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work\nThis is a full-time position/non-exempt. Will work minimum of 45 hours per week, on a rotating schedule based on business needs.
