Monitor and support production and procurement of raw materials. Ensure raw materials are maintained at optimal levels to maintain a smooth production plan with a steady flow of materials while achieving inventory targets. Process supplier forecasts to ensure alignment with production planning and forecasting. Support the local team for new launches with all aspects of floor and office systems implementation and floor readiness.\n\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nManage material plans to ensure orderly launches/support build plans for new programs, critical end-of-life items, and special projects/programs.\nManage inventory to optimize consumption and minimize excess/obsolescence for new products and end-of-life items. Identify, assess and communicate program issues/exceptions, and propose solutions.\nReview, audit and analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs) and provide feedback to teams on potential critical path material; proactively monitor actions to avoid crises.\nEnsure accurate counts and material follow-up in QAD, and customer’s system.\nAnalyze engineering changes and take appropriate actions to address material impact in support of the product launch/program.\nParticipate in team meetings, providing input to documentation of build plans and actions.\nWork with other team members to ensure program requirements and upgrades are supported.\nHelp coordinate and communicate production build requirements to satisfy customer demand and maintain inventory targets.\nProvide input to and help maintain processes and procedures to ensure continuous improvement in support of Engineering program requirements and reduced time to market.\nProvide leadership and back-up support in Material departments as needed or required.\nFollow safe practices.\nAll other duties as assigned.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\n\nBachelor's degree (Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Business Administration) or equivalent combination of advanced schooling and/or work experience.\nAPICS certification preferred.\nYears of Experience: 5+ years of experience and demonstrated success in Business, Materials Management or Supply Chain Mgt/Logistics\nTRAVEL:\n\nTravel Required: Yes\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:\n\nProficiency with ERP and Kanban Systems.\nAbility to plan and analyze production requirements and implement supporting material systems and business processes.\nWorking knowledge of material flows and layouts.\nHighly organized and detailed to establish priorities, identify and set goals.\nAble to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines and be able to perform self-initiated and planned activities.\nDemonstrated oral and written communication skills, especially for collaborating with others internally and externally to accomplish goals and resolve issues.\nBroad knowledge of mobile equipment and operation.\nKnowledge of IATF 16949 and other customer specific requirements.\nTact, a sense of urgency, and an overall customer satisfaction focus.\nAbility to reconcile accounts.\nDemonstrated and creative ability to solve problems.\nAbility to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nProficiency in Microsoft suite of software, particularly MS Excel and use of spreadsheets for managing and analyzing data.\nBENEFITS:\n\nBlue Cross Blue Shield Medical\nDelta Dental\nVSP Vision\n401k Matching\nTuition Reimbursement\nPaid Time Off\nEmployee Assistance Program\nAdditional Competitive Benefits\nAvancez advocates full equal employment opportunity for all people without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, marital or family status, or status as covered veterans in accordance with applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws.
