This role requires a strong blend of technical depth, delivery ownership, and client-facing leadership to drive execution across distributed teams while ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDelivery & ExecutionOwn end-to-end delivery of data platform initiatives (design → build → deploy → operate)Drive sprint planning, execution, and tracking using Agile methodologies (JIRA)Ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, and release commitmentsManage dependencies, risks, and escalations proactivelyTechnical Leadership (Hands-on)Provide hands-on guidance in Databricks, Azure OneLake, PySpark, Python, and .NETOversee data engineering pipelines, transformations, and performance optimizationDrive CI/CD pipeline design and implementation for data and application componentsEnsure best practices in code quality, version control, testing, and deployment automationClient & Stakeholder ManagementAct as the primary interface with client stakeholders, driving alignment and expectationsTranslate business requirements into technical solutions and delivery plansPresent progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership in a clear, structured mannerPlatform & ArchitectureSupport architecture decisions for scalable, secure, and high-performance data platformsEnable integration across data, analytics, and application layersEnsure compliance with data governance, security, and enterprise standardsTeam LeadershipLead and mentor cross-functional teams (data engineers, developers, DevOps)Foster a high-performance, accountable team cultureDrive continuous improvement across delivery processes and engineering practicesRequired Skills & ExperienceStrong hands-on experience with:Azure Databricks, Azure OneLake / FabricPySpark, Python.NET (for integration/API layers)Proven experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub)Solid understanding of data platform architecture, ETL/ELT, and large-scale data processingExperience with Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like JIRAStrong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to operate at both strategic and execution levelsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, DatabricksExposure to data governance, data quality, and metadata management frameworksFamiliarity with AI/ML integration in data platformsSuccess ProfileExecution-focused leader who can drive outcomes, not just manage tasksTechnically credible and comfortable being hands-on when neededStrong communicator who can bridge business and technology seamlesslyAble to simplify complexity and lead large-scale data initiatives effectivelyThis role is critical to delivering a next-generation, AI-ready data platform, and requires someone who can combine deep technical expertise with disciplined delivery leadership.
