This full-time, year-round position is responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of the property while delivering exceptional service to both condominium owners and guests.\r\nThe Assistant Engineering Manager will perform hands-on maintenance, coordinate owner unit repairs, oversee vendors, and support the Chief Engineer in ensuring the property is maintained to the highest standards. The ideal candidate is an experienced maintenance professional with strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to outstanding customer service.\r\nEssential Responsibilities\r\nEngineering & Property Maintenance\r\nPerform general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and minor mechanical repairs.\r\nComplete preventative maintenance on guest rooms, owner units, building systems, and common areas.\r\nRespond promptly and professionally to guest and owner maintenance requests.\r\nAssist in maintaining HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety, and mechanical systems.\r\nSupport seasonal responsibilities including snow removal, ice mitigation, and exterior property upkeep.\r\nAssist in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning property at all times.\r\nDepartment Operations\r\nAssist the Engineering Manager in planning, scheduling, and prioritizing maintenance work.\r\nCoordinate with outside vendors and contractors to ensure quality workmanship and timely completion of projects.\r\nMonitor inventory of maintenance supplies and assist with purchasing as needed.\r\nHelp maintain compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.\r\nAssist with emergency response and after-hours maintenance issues when necessary.\r\nTeam Collaboration\r\nWork closely with the Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Owner services to ensure guest rooms and owner units remain in excellent condition.\r\nCommunicate maintenance updates and room status to operational departments.\r\nFoster a positive, team-oriented work environment while delivering exceptional guest and owner experiences.\r\nQualifications\r\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in hotel, condominium, resort, or commercial building maintenance.\r\nPrevious supervisory or leadership experience preferred.\r\nCPO certification is a plus; Mountain Haus will pay for the certification class after the hiring process.\r\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\r\nExcellent organizational and communication abilities.\r\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.\r\nExperience working directly with homeowners, guests, contractors, and vendors is highly desirable.\r\nValid driver's license preferred.\r\nPhysical Requirements\r\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.\r\nFrequent walking, climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, and working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.\r\nAbility to perform snow removal and exterior maintenance during winter months.\r\nAbility to respond to emergency maintenance situations outside of normal business hours when required.\r\nCompensation & Benefits\r\nMountain Haus offers a competitive salary based on experience, comprehensive benefits, paid time off, retirement plan options, and more.\r\n401(k)\r\nHealth insurance\r\nVision insurance\r\nDental insurance\r\nLife insurance\r\nSki Pass\r\nParking Pass\r\nPTO\r\nJoin Our Team\r\nIf you are a dependable, hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys solving problems, working with people, and taking pride in maintaining a high-quality property, we encourage you to apply.
