Assessing architecture and hardware limitations, plans technical projects in the design and development of CAD software. Defines and selects new approaches and implementation of CAD software engineering applications and design specifications and parameters. Develops routines and utility programs. Prepares design specifications, analysis and recommendations for presentation and approval. May specify materials, equipment and supplies required for completion of projects and may evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.\r\nNature of Duties/Responsibilities:\r\n\r\nDirect interaction with customers to gather project requirements and updates. Conduct regular meetings to ensure the availability of required technical details.\r\nTake part in the full cycle of PCB Layout Engineering activities\r\nDesign involvement in complex multi layer (Minimum 26+ Layer) PCB using Cadence Tools\r\nProcess-oriented project execution with high quality on-time deliverables\r\nProject planning and tracking\r\nWorks well independently and can manage multiple projects\r\nExecute Design Reviews and checklist verification\r\nCo-ordinate DFx check and implementation\r\nStack-up definition, layer planning and PCB material selection\r\nLibrary management\r\nControl and adhere to SVN or Agile-based release process\r\nDesign consideration for Thermal and Mechanical enhancement\r\nLatest Fabrication and Assembly Technology\r\nExcellent Team player\r\nWorks with external PCB Manufacturers\r\nAssembly and fabrication CAD drawing development\r\nRetrospection analysis and continual process improvement\r\nRisk and mitigation planning\r\nKeep current on information and technology affecting functional areas to increase innovation and ensure quality\r\nPerform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required\r\n\r\nExperience\r\n\r\nProficiency in Cadence Allegro is mandatory. Knowledge in Siemens Xpedition , Altium etc are an added advantage.\r\nExpertise in DFx concepts and its implementation.
