We foster a culture built around our Foundation Principles, which define how we approach our relationships with our employees, vendors, customers and communities and influence every aspect of our business.\n\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities\nArchitect and implement enterprise-grade LAN/WAN/WLAN solutions tailored for retail operations, including cloud integrations (GCP), hybrid architectures, SD-WAN, and secure multi-location connectivity.\nOversee 24/7 monitoring, performance tuning, patch management, and troubleshooting to ensure maximum uptime across all network assets.\nLead implementation of firewall policies, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS, SOX) to safeguard customer data and transactional integrity.\nSpearhead capacity planning, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity initiatives to future-proof our network infrastructure.\nPartner with cybersecurity, e-commerce, and IT operations teams to integrate new technologies into the ecosystem.\nActively learn and stay informed of current and emerging infrastructure technologies and tools, passionate about technology\nGuide fellow engineers through hands-on mentoring, configuration reviews, and technical leadership on high-impact projects.\nEducation and Certifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field strongly preferred.\nAdvanced certifications (CCNP/CCIE, CISSP, GCP Professional Network Engineer) strongly preferred.\nExperience and Skills Required:\n8+ years of progressive network engineering experience, including 4+ years leading senior-level projects in complex, multi-location environments.\nEnterprise routing/switching (Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto), BGP/OSPF/VLAN, SDN (EVPN/VXLAN), VRF, or other similar networking technologies.\nDeep knowledge of GCP networking, AWS, and hybrid cloud integrations including VPCs,\nProficiency managing infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible, Python/Bash for automation within GitOps workflows.\nExpertise securing the network by managing firewall policies (Palo Alto, Meraki), configuring deep traffic inspection, and maintaining intrusion prevention systems for both internal and external network perimeters.\nExpertise designing and operating enterprise wireless networks (Cisco, Meraki) in large scale office and distribution center deployments, including modern authentication and security standards (802.1x, AAA, Cisco ISE)\nExperience managing public internet providers and modern telecommunication technologies to manage connectivity between sites.\nExperience managing VPN technologies for B2B (SSL/IPSec), client connectivity (GlobalProtect), and other ZTNA technologies.\nExperience managing networking in a virtualization environment (VMware, Kubernetes, Docker), NSX experience a plus.\nExperience configuring and managing load balancing technologies within the networking environment.\nProficiency designing and deploying critical infrastructure services such as DNS and DHCP.\nOther Qualifications\nExceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve critical outages in pressure situations.\nStrong communication and documentation skills to translate technical concepts for non-engineering stakeholders by keeping technical drawings and documentation clear and up-to-date.\nStrong time management skills, willingness to work with the wider technology teams on multiple concurrent projects to accomplish organizational goals.\nSelf-motivated to constantly improve the environment, results driven, and be productive without constant direction.\nAbility to work within and exemplify The Container Store brand which we describe as matchless, authentic and team-focused.\nBased in Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex\nRetail industry and e-commerce experience a major plus.\n\nWe believe in taking care of our team.
