Leads inter-departmental collaboration and communication to drive projects forward.\r\nEnsures all non-county public safety agencies' technological operations, as they relate to 911 service delivery, are compliant with applicable federal, State, and local laws, rules, and regulations related to NG911.\r\nEnsures all non-county public safety departments' equipment is in working order and maintained as it relates to the delivery of 911 services.\r\nWorks closely with the County's IT Department and the systems support administrator to manage a variety of 911 infrastructure projects such as Logis, CAD, Bryx, WSI technology upgrades, and NG911 projects.\r\nWorks on large and complex renovation projects, while leveraging project management best practices to drive continuous improvement and ensure high-quality outcomes.\r\nReviews and/or develops various statistical and departmental reports regarding technological operations to ensure appropriate processes and outcomes. Monitors compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and investigates current trends in 911.\r\nWorks closely with the County's IT Department to ensure all active public safety SIM cards paid for by 911 Central Dispatch are being used appropriately.\r\nAdvises the local public safety agencies about the best practices and technology for the delivery of 911 services.\r\nCoordinates the preventative maintenance of the public safety fire and EMS paging system, which is located at communication tower sites throughout Livingston County.\r\nMeets with local public safety officials to keep them informed, involved, and to ensure their expectations are managed.\r\nCoordinates vehicle and equipment repair and preventative maintenance services to obtain maximum utilization and prevent operational delays in the department's response to tower and equipment outages across the county. Coordinates with LETS for vehicle and equipment purchasing. Responsible for the research, development, implementation, and maintenance of 911 vehicle mobile systems through a wireless internet structure.\r\nParticipates in the departmental accreditation process as directed.\r\nParticipates in community events and with organizations to promote the department's 911 image and programs.\r\nAttends monthly meetings of police, fire, and EMS professionals to provide updates and answer questions.\r\nKeeps abreast of legislative and regulatory developments, new administrative techniques, and current issues through continued education and professional growth. Attends conferences, workshops, and seminars as appropriate.\r\nManages special projects, responsible for planning and designating project resources, supervising progress, and keeping the director and deputy director informed of project progress.
