{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"e5a4f7f04db827393bf5e940","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e5a4f7f04db827393bf5e940","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e5a4f7f04db827393bf5e940","title":"Hatchery Technical Support","description":"Hatchery Technical Support\nThe Hatchery Technical Support, helps hatchery performance and biosecurity by auditing sanitation and egg quality, monitoring incubation and hatching conditions, managing critical hatchery datasets and reports, and coordinating trials with hatchery operations.\n\nThis position is offering a Sign On Bonus of $3000!\n\nKey Responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nConduct microbiological and NPIP sampling\nCleaning and disinfection audits across hatchery areas and equipment.\nAudit egg quality and egg racking process to ensure product standards and reduce defects.\nMonitor and optimize incubation and hatching conditions: egg weights, water loss, eggshell temperatures, hatch windows, daily review of incubator and hatcher conditions.\nPerform egg breakouts and necropsy of cull poults to identify root causes and improvement actions.\nMaintain accurate databases and produce weekly and monthly reports on hatchery performance, audits, flock outcomes and Salmonella status.\nServe as the hatchery point of contact for trials and communicate needs, plans, and results to hatchery staff.\nManage an assistant to help with collection of data and samples.\nRequired Qualifications\nAbility to work in a hatchery production environment and follow biosecurity protocols.\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to collect, organize and report data accurately.\nComfort using spreadsheets (Excel) and databases to maintain datasets and generate reports.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills; ability to coordinate with hatchery staff.\nAbility to work around hatch and service schedules as required.\nPreferred Qualifications\nEducation or experience in animal science, poultry science, microbiology, biology, or a related field.\nExperience with incubation and hatchery systems, environmental monitoring, and/or SCADA systems.\nExperience with auditing programs (NPIP, sanitation verification, QA/QC).\nBilingual English and Spanish.\nSchedule\nCore business hours: 40-hour work weeks\nFull time schedule Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 6am to 3 pm, with partial day shift Wednesday and Saturday\nHolidays as need it.\n\nWorking Conditions:\nHatcheries have a range of working conditions depending on the department. Majority of the positions have a room temperature of mid to high 70s. Fluff is a natural byproduct of hatching birds, which can be spread throughout the facility. Cleaning is very important to maintain a safe environment for the poults, so some washing with hot water may be required which may raise humidity in certain cases.
