This position is responsible for troubleshooting and servicing all production and support equipment within the facility in a safe and efficient manner while ensuring minimal downtime. This position will work closely with the Operations and the Mechanical Maintenance Team to provide maximum facility support.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES: Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:\n\nRepairs, maintains, and installs wiring, motors, motor controls, PLC’s, AC/DC Drives, transformers, motors, generators, lighting, instrumentation, valves and other electrical systems.\nTroubleshooting and servicing all production and support equipment within the facility in a safe and efficient manner while ensuring minimal downtime.\nProvides technical support by operating a variety of electrical testing equipment in locating and determining types of electrical malfunctions within the mill.\nStudies plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and/or installations.\nApplication of NFPA Guidelines including publication 70 (National Electric Code).\nMust be able to perform the essential functions of the job.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n\nEducation\n\nHigh school diploma or GED; Associates Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation preferred;\n\nWork Experience\n\n3-5 years of troubleshooting experience with close support of production equipment.\nExcellent teams skills\nUnderstanding of National Electric Code (NEC)\nExperience with electric motors, drives, & PLCs\n\nSkills:\n\nCommitment to safety and quality\nExperience with AC and DC Drives, variable frequency drives, PLC and motor controls along with all types of electrical phasing\nAbility to read and interrupt blueprints and schematics\nComputer literacy – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)\nGood communication skills - verbal and written\nDemonstrated ability to use hand and power tools, as well as technical testing equipment consistent within the electrical field.\nThe ability to work independently and in a team environment by receiving and completing work orders; gathering tools and supplies to complete the work assigned\nWilling to update job knowledge thru participation in educational opportunities\nWilling to work rotating Shifts and overtime\nJourney level electrician\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\nAbility to work in a physically intense environment / Ability to lift up to 74 pounds.\nRequires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, and climbing.\nAbility to work in elevated temperatures in excess of 100 degrees F.\nAbility to substantially move wrists, hands, and/or fingers to turn wrenches and make adjustments to the equipment.\n\nGPI’s Benefit Program\n\nCompetitive Pay\n401(k) w/employer matching\nHealth & Welfare Benefits\nMedical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage\nShort and Long-Term Disability\nLife Insurance\nAccidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance\nFlexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts\nVarious Voluntary benefits\nAdoption Assistance Program\nEmployee Discount Programs\nEmployee Assistance Program\nTuition Assistance Program\nPaid Time Off + 11 paid company holidays each year\n\nApplications accepted on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.\n\nGraphic Packaging is an equal opportunity employer and abides by all applicable federal, state provincial and local laws with respect to the recruitment and hiring process.
