Join us to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to innovation and excellence in optical measurement technology.\nJob Purpose: Responsible for coordinating the movement of parts and materials related to finished goods, preparing job kits prior to production, and supporting assembly technicians by identifying and resolving parts discrepancies as they arise.\nEssential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities\nMaterial handling\no Receive and properly store all incoming materials in designated locations.\no Assist Receiving with resolving issues to ensure materials are processed accurately and efficiently.\no Move materials from one location to another as required to support operational needs.\no Establish bin locations for new materials and maintain accurate location information.\no Move full and empty barrels of spent material waste from point of use to storage locations.\no Move scrap material from point of use to storage locations.\n· Kitting Jobs\no Pick parts for jobs and issue materials accurately and in a timely manner.\no Print and prepare job paperwork for picking activities.\no Review upcoming jobs with leadership to plan picks, verify material availability, and support production schedules.\no Organize and maintain inventory locations, including updating default part locations as needed.\n· Inventory\no Perform daily cycle counts.\no Research, document, and reconcile inventory variances.\no Collaborate with Purchasing to support material ordering and availability.\nAdditional Responsibilities\n· Assist with building shipping materials, including crates, boxes, and stand-up packaging.\n· Maintain knowledge of ISO procedures and follow them as required.\n· Actively participate in Labsphere’s continuous improvement process.\n· Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.\n· Assist in Hazardous waste management.\nOther duties as assigned.\nGeneral Requirements (Education, Experience, Attributes of Successful Candidate)\n· High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of experience in material control, stockroom operations, receiving, or production control preferred.\n· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including spreadsheets, databases, graphs, and word processing.\n· Experience with UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and other shipping software platforms.\n· Experience using ERP systems; Epicor experience is preferred but not required.\nStrong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor to deal with internal and external contacts.\nExcellent written and oral communication skills.\n· Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multitasking environment under deadlines. Must be able to work independently and demonstrate initiative.\n· Demonstrated ability to take on challenges beyond the current position description and solve problems creatively.\n· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, kneel, reach, lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, sit, stand, talk, and hear. The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\n· The work environment is casual yet professional. The individual in this position will be exposed to production, manufacturing, warehouse, and normal office environments. The noise level is usually moderate. The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
