Employment type: Full-time. Seniority level: Mid-Senior level. This role provides warranty support for utility-scale solar PV inverters, variable frequency drives, power distribution, power electronics and rotating machine products to clients and field personnel.Responsibilities Analyze client equipment failures using diagnostics tools to resolve issuesProvide technical support to clients and other engineers, when not in the fieldPerform commissioning, installations, quality inspections, and performance testing of photovoltaic inverter systems to meet design performance criteriaTroubleshoot, isolate issues, repair and/or replace defective componentsReport to the factory any errors or deficiencies in hardware, software or system design discovered from consultations with clients and Company engineers; implement corrective actions outlined in Field Change Notices as assignedUpdate client relationship management (CRM) tool with appropriate case information to ensure timely and accurate reportsPrepare Service Advices and issue to clients and engineers as necessaryWrite and/or review field reports, and issue to clients as requestedAcquire and maintain current safety qualifications appropriate to the assigned tasks and comply with Company and client safety requirements and good safety practicesProcess warranty replacements, expediting when necessaryInvestigate suggested field changes, report problems and recommend solutions to parent company as necessaryGeneral Employee Accountabilities Bring full effort to bear on tasks assigned by managerGive earliest notice when work cannot be delivered as specifiedCooperate and collaborate with peers and interact cross-organizationally as specified by managerExemplify Company Core Values: Integrity, Client Focus, Team Orientation, and Personal CommitmentComply with all Company policies, practices, and procedures and all regulations and lawsRecommend viable improvements proactivelyEnsure effective utilization of business tools and processesMinimum Qualifications Associate degree with concentration on electrical, mechanical, mechatronics engineering or related field, or equivalent via education and/or work experienceKnowledge of power conversion and distribution transformersDemonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contactsDemonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skillsDemonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibilityProficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, OutlookAvailability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 75%, occasionally with limited noticeAbility to work in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain & snowPreferred Qualifications 3 years' field engineering experience with Utility Scale Solar PV Inverters, Variable frequency drives, power distribution, power electronic and rotating machine productsControls engineering experienceLow voltage drive engineering experiencePhotovoltaic Inverter power generation experiencePPC and battery storage experienceEEO/AA/M/F/Vet/Disability Employer#J-18808-Ljbffr
