This is an entry-level role designed for individuals looking to build a long-term career in commercial electrical construction and project management.\nThe Project Engineer will support Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers in the coordination, documentation, and execution of commercial electrical projects. This role is heavily focused on learning construction processes, developing technical knowledge, and building a strong foundation in project management and field coordination.\nThis is a full-time, salaried exempt position based in our San Francisco office.\nResponsibilities\nEstimating & Preconstruction Support\nReview plans, specifications, and bid documents during preconstruction\nAttend pre-bid meetings and job walks to gain project exposure\nPerform quantity takeoffs and assist with preparing estimates and budgets\nAssist in preparing scope letters and bid documentation\nPrepare and track Requests for Information (RFIs)\nSupport initial project setup and bid package organization\nProject Coordination & Documentation Support\nAssist Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination\nSupport tracking of submittals, drawings, specifications, and project documentation\nHelp maintain project logs, schedules, and tracking tools\nAssist with procurement tracking and material lead times\nParticipate in project meetings and support follow-up documentation and action items\nField Exposure & Support\nConduct job-site visits to gain field experience and understanding of installation practices\nSupport coordination between office staff and field teams\nAssist in resolving basic field questions and documenting site observations\nLearn construction sequencing, installation standards, and project workflows\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred\nInternship or prior exposure to construction (electrical preferred)\nAbility to read and interpret construction plans and specifications\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail\nEagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced construction environment\nGood communication and problem-solving abilities\nAbility to manage multiple tasks with supervision and guidance\nSoftware Experience Preferred\nBluebeam\nProcore\nPlanGrid\nAccubid\nViewpoint\nMicrosoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)\nAdobe Acrobat\nWhy Join CBF Inc.\nWe are committed to developing the next generation of project management professionals in the electrical construction industry.
