Insight FS is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada.Purpose And Summary StatementAssists in the origination, logistics, and accounting of grain activities.Essential Job FunctionsOperates a high volume grain scale, including weighing, probing and accurately grading both inbound and outbound trucksEnters scale tickets into our automated grain systemDemonstrates the aptitude and proficiency to learn and fully utilize the Grain Accounting SystemTransfers grain market knowledge to our farmer customers, giving us a competitive advantage in the marketplaceAssists in all areas of grain origination, including providing bids, discussing markets, and contracting grain from producer customers, in addition to coordinating logistics as neededAssists in maintaining complete and accurate records in accordance with company grain policiesGenerates reports from the DPR, check-off deductions, freight payments, liens, and customer billingAccurately communicate producer grain position to Grain Accounting DepartmentTakes initiative to learn and understand location operations and processesProvides courteous, timely and professional customer serviceProjects a positive company image to customersOther Job FunctionsMay be required to drive and run local errands as neededAddress customer needs, complaints and problem resolutionPerforms other duties as assignedFollows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they applyRequirementsNormally requires an Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school, or the equivalent thereof; and at least two years of previous experience working in the grain business or agriculture to demonstrate comprehension of USDA grain reportsDemonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill developmentAbility to work extended hours, beyond those considered “normal”, during busy time periodsMust have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving recordAbility and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.We are an equal opportunity/Disabled/Protected Veteran Employer.
