Let’s innovate the infinite, together.\n\nA DAY IN THE LIFE:\nAs a Software Integration & Test Engineer I, you will support the development and execution of software and hardware testing activities that validate Innoflight's cutting-edge aerospace products. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll develop Python-based automation tools, execute test procedures, troubleshoot complex systems, and contribute to delivering reliable, mission-critical solutions for the space industry.\n\nWHAT YOU'LL DO:\nDevelops Test Strategies: Identifies testable product requirements and assists in developing comprehensive test plans that validate product performance, functionality, and features throughout the development lifecycle.\nCreates Automated Test Solutions: Develops and maintains Python-based automation tools and scripts that interface with laboratory test equipment and products under test, improving testing efficiency and coverage.\nAuthors Test Procedures: Writes Design Verification and Acceptance Test procedures to support engineering development, product validation, and manufacturing activities.\nInvestigates Test Failures: Troubleshoots software, hardware, and test setup issues, working closely with senior engineers to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.\nSupports Test Review Activities: Presents technical findings and participates in Test Review Boards, helping drive issue resolution and continuous product improvement.\nEnhances Manufacturing Testing: Collaborates with manufacturing operations to improve test clarity, repeatability, and reliability through enhanced processes and automation.\nIntegrates and Troubleshoots Systems: Works alongside hardware and software engineering teams to integrate products, validate functionality, and resolve technical issues during development.\nSupports Project Planning: Provides estimates for developing test features, automation scripts, and verification procedures while supporting project schedules and engineering objectives.\nYOU’RE AWESOME AT:\nPython Development: Strong proficiency in Python programming with experience developing automation tools and software to improve engineering test capabilities.\nSoftware & Hardware Troubleshooting: Skilled at debugging software, hardware interfaces, and integrated systems while methodically identifying and resolving technical issues.\nTechnical Documentation: Experienced in documenting test procedures, tracking technical issues, and clearly communicating findings across engineering teams.\nCollaborative Engineering: Works effectively with software, hardware, and manufacturing teams to support product integration, testing, and continuous improvement.\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.\n1 or more years of experience in software integration, test engineering, or a related role.\nStrong proficiency in Python programming and software automation.\nExperience with C/C++, JavaScript, SQL, and Linux is a plus.\nExperience documenting, tracking, and communicating technical issues and findings.\nFamiliarity with troubleshooting software and hardware communication interfaces.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.\nAbility to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.\nCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS:\nThe starting base salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a competitive base salary, Innoflight offers a well-rounded compensation package that includes a Profit-Sharing Bonus and a Cash Performance Bonus to reward both individual and company performance.
