This role partners cross‑functionally to evaluate cost structures, identify variances, and provide insights that drive profitability, efficiency, and informed investment decisions across products and operations.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\n\nAnalyze and develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, overhead, equipment, and production, using historical data, actual performance, and standard costing methodologies.\n\nEvaluate variances between estimated, standard, and actual costs; identify drivers and provide actionable insights to improve cost performance.\n\nPartner with operations, procurement, and finance to gather cost inputs, validate assumptions, and improve cost accuracy across products and processes.\n\nSupport new product introductions and engineering changes through cost modeling, analysis, and financial impact assessments.\n\nDevelop and maintain cost databases and reporting tools to track trends, identify risks, and support decision‑making.\n\nConduct profitability and margin analysis at the product, customer, or project level to inform business strategies.\n\nParticipate in budgeting, forecasting, and cost reduction initiatives, identifying opportunities for efficiency and savings.\n\nAssist in preparing business cases and financial models to support new business opportunities and capital investments.\n\nEnsure costing processes and documentation comply with internal controls and financial standards.\n\nMay be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.\n\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or another related field. 1-3 years’ experience as a costing or financial analyst; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:\nAbility to work independently in a high‑volume contracting environment. Ability to analyze a problem and recommend solutions, problem−solving skills. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:\nPhysical Requirements: Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Working Conditions: Exposure to a normal office environment.
